With over 20 years experience in journalism, film, and interactive media, Executive Creative Director Alex Hendler has made a career of producing memorable, groundbreaking, award-winning communications.
Prior to joining Clear Ink, Alex was Executive Creative Director at Acxiom Digital, leading the creative development of digital media for such clients as Gateway, Kaiser-Permanente, Countrywide Financial, Sun Microsystems and Gap, Inc. In 2008, his team took home 11 creative awards.
Previously, Alex was Vice-President/Group Creative Director at Modem Media, a global Internet marketing firm, where he was the co-leader of the San Francisco office's 45-person creative department, responsible for managing multiple teams of creative directors, visual designers, interaction designers, and copywriters in the creative development of digital media programs for Amgen, Charles Schwab, eBay, E*TRADE, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Michelin, Robertson-Stephens, Safeway, and Sprint.
A graduate of UCLA and the American Film Institute, Alex has worked as a screenwriter, developing scripts for Trimark Pictures, ZM Productions (producers of Encino Man), and Kiefer Sutherland. In 1996 Alex wrote and directed a short film entitled, Man in the Box.
When he's not leading Clear Ink's creative efforts, Alex likes to cook gourmet vegetarian meals for his wife, Dorothy, and himself, travel, cycle, and continue his eternal quest to throw the perfect split-finger fastball.
