Vice President, Executive Creative Director
Igor Gasowski defines the creative vision of Clear Ink. Igor refers to himself as "half and half," which is not a reference to coffee creamer but to the fact that he is half creative visionary and half functional technologist. This allows Clear Ink to deliver right on that delicate line where creative design and functional design are equally represented in interactive projects.
Igor's design sensibilities were honed first in West Germany, where he designed advertising for the likes of Cartier and Mercedes Benz, and then as a creative director overseeing a team that produced industrial designs for clients across western and eastern Europe. Immediately prior to Clear Ink, Igor worked with clients as diverse as LeapFrog Enterprises, Cloudscape, Steelpoint Technologies, and Kensington Technologies.
Of both Polish and Russian heritage, Igor is trilingual and declares often that the English language is rife with unnecessary articles. He holds an MFA in industrial design with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Pozan, Poland. It was there that he met his American wife, who declined his overtures until convinced he wasn't a spy. They live with their two sons and daughter in Berkeley.
