Bio Accomplishments Talks and Lectures  

In 1995, David Burk founded Clear Ink, one of the first Web marketing firms, and helped grow it into a $150 million integrated marketing communications agency. In 2001, he was named Governor-at-Large for the Northern California Council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies. He has won the Monty McKinney Award for Excellence in Advertising..

David also lectures and writes about timing technology adoption for marketing purposes, and the importance of user experience in building (or destroying) brands. His ongoing interest Is about how the Internet continues to transforming US culture and global economics. His work has included regular talks at the Commerce One eMarketplace academies, MacWorld Pro Conferences, California State Bar Association, and the American Advertising Federation.

David earned a BA in anthropology from Pomona College and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He spends his spare time running, reading nonfiction, and doting on his wife, Rebekah Kaplan, a San Francisco midwife, and their two sons.
